I was raised as a child around mainly Country & Western and a little bit of 50's rock-n-roll from my mom. When as a young teen I discoverd Deep Purple and the revolution began. I then discovered a band called the Godz and had a life changing experience and became a rock -n-roll machine!! Then I discovered a band called Starz and Kiss. With this I was fully converted and dived headfirst into the world of Rock. I knew that was the world I wanted to spend my life in!! My favorite bands as a teen were, Deep Purple,Kiss,Starz,The Godz,AC/DC,The Stones,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Kansas,Rainbow, Heart, Head East, Molly Hatchet, Punk Floyd,The Boyzz, The Sweet,and Foghat. However by the age of 18 I had over 2000 records so I gues you could say I loved them all!!
I have been around music in one way or another over a big part of my life.I have been a DJ at radio stations.I have roadied for bands. I have been in a band. I have been involved in band management. I have worked security at shows. I have spent years booking for bands, and concert events.I have also managed,and ran a concert venue.Music people have always been my favorite people to hang with.In contrast many "church or religious people" have not been fun or enjoyable to hang with.I like people who are real and let their true selves show,warts and all.Not that wear a mask and hide behind their theology.Notice I say church or religious people,not Christians.While Christians will desire to go to church,the terms are not neccessarily synonymous. Anyhow many reading this will understand what I mean,and many wont. We all have sinned and fell short.If we admitt this to each other, and our God then true growth and spirituality can happen.
As I get older I am realizing that the begining of wisdom is knowing that I really do not know as much as I thought I did when I was younger.In the big picture of life, I really do not know that much at all!! I used to be full of my self and thought I had all the answers.Now I know my self is my greatest enemy!! There is only one place or person with all the answers and its not me!!
