Brian's Story
Life
Life is really great. My wife, Amber, and I were married on MArch 4th of 2006. We purchased a house in July, 2005, in Live Oak. Our honeymoon was spent overseas in Europe for two weeks, one of the best times of my life. I went to college after high school, but after a few years took a break not really knowing what I wanted to major in. I returned in 2004 and finished my degree in '06. I'm enjoying life and all it has to offer. No kids currently although the two dogs and one cat make up for that. My motto for the moment is "Grad school not pre-school".
School
Would I do it all over again? Probably not. I had a ton of memories that I still cherish, but that was then and it really wasn't life as we know it now. I enjoy life, love every minute of it and although it was fun, you can't live in the past. I enjoyed the time in the darkroom and teaching others about photography and journalism, it was my passion. So many people I remember: Emzy King, Brett Harris, Ramon Munoz, Kim Brien, Jessica Brett, a ton of friends I still wish to keep in touch with. Mostly, I remember the fun I had and it makes for a smile on my face when I look back and think about how life was then and realize how easy we had it...Expand for more
, and yet thought it was SOOO tough, heh.
College
After graduating high school I attended San Antonio College from 1995-1997 majoring in Psychology. I moved to Corpus Christi and attended Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi for a year with a former girlfriend. After moving back to San Antonio, I re-enrolled at San Antonio College until 1999 when I had no idea what I wanted to do in life. After working a few months, my computer interest paid off and I began taking classes at New Horizons CLC to get my MCSE, Network+, A+, Novell CNA, and Cisco CCNA. I finished my Bachelors degree with a BS in Information Technology with a 3.75GPA, and am waiting enrollment into Indiana University (Kelley) for an MBA and Thunderbird University (Garvin School of Business) for a Masters in International Management.
Workplace
I've worked with Whole Foods Market as an In-Store Systems Administrator. I've worked with Comal County (government) as a Systems Administrator and Help Desk Lead. I've worked as a private consultant for IT projects and worked in retail before. I'm heading into the International Management aspect of IT consulting.
Military
Never served military though I appreciate and honor those that do.
