Brian's Story

Life Hey there. I live in Spokane, Washington (for the second time). Trying to have some sort of working retirement. I moved to Seattle, Washington from Tustin in 1979. The rain and people drove me crazy at first so I joined the Army for 3 years. The only action I saw was in the seedier parts of Honolulu. After the Army, I lived in Olympia, Wa for a few years and Spokane, Wa for 5 years. Married in Spokane in 1986. Son born in Spokane in 1989. Back to Seattle in 1991. That wrecked my first marriage. I really liked Spokane. I met my wonderful wife of 24 years in 1992. Her name is Karla and she is really a wonderful woman. I feel very lucky to have her. We lived in Seattle until Aug of 2018. Sold our house in Seattle for a nice profit and bought a much nicer house in Spokane. We have deer walking down the ...Expand for more
street we live on. Moose, coyotes, cougars, pheasants, and quail are all seen in our neighborhood. I really love being back here. Drop me a line if you like. I haven't seen or heard from anyone from school in years. Does anyone know why Hillview and Foothill aren't listed here? Military U.S. Army 1979-1982. I was in the Infantry and my specialty was heavy anti-armor weapons. That means I shot missles at tanks from a far safer distance than your average infantryman. I went to basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. My first posting after basic was Fort Hood, Texas. I was in the 1st Cavalry Division. After a year in Texas, I was sent to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. I was in the 25th Infantry Division. Hawaii sounds like a lot of fun until you're a GI there. I preferred Texas. 3 years were enough for me.
