Brian's Story

Life Greetings; After Magnolia I went to Fullerton Jr. College for 2 years, then 2 years at Cal State Fullerton and got a BA degree in management. Worked for 2 years at JC Pennys as a manager, then went to Oregon, just west of Portland and went back to the local community college and got AAS degrees in computer operations and programming. Since being in Oregon, 20 years now, I've worked in computer opertions, system admin, Unix and Microsoft, Network engineering and admin and currently am unemployed. I like to build wood model airplanes and ships. I own my home on the west side of Portland, (silicon forest). I've never married, no children, have 2 dogs and cats currently. I have a AA, BA, AAS, AAS degrees, MCSE NT/2000, MCDBA, CNA, CCNA and OCP certifications. I'm still very quite and reserved . 05/21/06 Since my last update I've gone through a few jobs, the recession hit hard in Oregon. I am currently working at Intel as a software engineer for the Viiv project. Both of my dogs have passed on, but I still have alot of cats. I keep an eye on the weather in So Cal still and notice the ...Expand for more
weather in Oregon is now becoming more like So Cal, long hot summers. It's not uncommon for it to be drier and warmer up here than it is in Anaheim. The winters up here are still colder, but the summers seem warmer. 10/27/06 Well time marches on, I am now working at Intel as a software / wireless network QA engineer on the Viiv project. I have also become a hippie, my hair is now a couple of inches below my shoulders and I have a beard. I still live in the same house in oregon that I have for the last 19 years. 06/05/09 More time marching on. I got layed off of Intel at the end of 07. I then went back as a contractor working on IDCC (Intel Desktop Control Center), a software app to overclock a PC mainly for gamers. I also did motherboard, CPU and BIOS testing for the i7 chip series. That contact ended at the end of last year. I will be starting another contract 06/15/09 to do software validation for mobile products. I cut my hair, (starting to thin also.) I've also gone back to school, the local community college, PCC and have taken courses in analog/digital circuits, chemistry and physics.
