Brian's Story

Brian attended Broadmoor HS in Baton Rouge, La. and Clear Creek HS in League City, Texas. He graduated HS in 1972. Brian went to the University of Texas in Austin and obtained degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Law. Brian has practiced Petroleum Engineering and Oil and Gas Law in Austin since 1979 having worked in the Oil and Gas Division of the Texas Railroad Commission and then in private practice. In 1982, Brian and his friend from law school, Mike McElroy, founded what is now McElroy, Sullivan, Miller, Weber & Olmstead, LLP. Brian has been married ...Expand for more
since 1982 to his law school classmate, Cynthia Marshall Sullivan. They have three children. Brian and Cindy bicycle (including the MS 150), garden, travel and will soon start ranching grandchildren. The first grandchild is due April 23, 2014. Brian likes to play golf and still runs around with his friends from Jr Hi in Baton Rouge. Music Brian likes includes U2, The Who. Books Brian likes include Noble House. Movies Brian likes include Chariots of Fire, The Milagro Beanfield War, Rocky Horror Picture Show. TV shows Brian likes include Antiques Roadshow.

Golf in Austin this afternoon.
Dan Miller, my law partner since 1985, passed away today. He was a great lawyer and friend. We tried many a case together and it was always a joy. No matter how difficult the situation, he kept his calm. RIP my good man.
Charlotte and Emily spent the weekend with us. Morris is still protecting her.
LBJ Bike ride today with Ron Wamsted. We did 42 miles to prepare for the MS 150. I am convinced all the hills, with the wind in our faces, was on the back 21.
A bucket list item. My first EPL game. Arsenal v. Everton. Tube ride, pub stop, parade to the stadium. Great advise from the locals on how not to mess this up.
The lake was first seeded with fish a little over two years ago. The fish are growing and healthy.
My brother caught a picture of this Bald Eagle at our ranch. It was scavenging on the feral hogs we have removed.

Congratulations to my godson/nephew Shane Sullivan . He is now Board Certified in Oil, Gas & Mineral Law. He qualified, passed a difficult test and survived the vetting by his peers. I went through the same process 29 years
First hole at Pebble Beach. Our wives found the spa and has a great time, too.
