Brian's Story

Yeah. Ok. So, technically, I didn't graduate from WSHS. Rather, my family moved to California in the middle of my Junior year. But Woodbridge was, and always will be, my home town. Moved to California in '79. Graduated from San Marin High in Novato. Received my A.A. in Natural Science from Indian Valley Colleges in Novato. Transferred to Sonoma State University in 1983. Received my B.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology in 1986. Entered Grad School immediately after, taking classes at Sonoma State University and UC Berkeley. Became a consulting Archaeologist and Architectural Historian. Completed grad school in 1991. Moved to Sierra Nevada Foothills. Began volunteering at Community Radio KVMR-FM in Nevada City in 1991. Created Saturday morning Folk show, "Harmony Ridge"...Expand for more
in 1992. Was hired by KVMR in 1994 as the station's Membership Coordinator. Then Events Coordinator. Then Volunteer Coordinator. Was hired as KVMR's General Manager in 1996. Worked with KVMR through many prosperous, award-winning years. Stepped down as KVMR General Manager in 2006 and went to work with my then wife, producing concerts and music festivals. Was recruited to return to radio in 2007. Retired "Harmony Ridge" on KVMR, after fifteen years. Now manage Northstate Public Radio (KCHO-FM, Chico & KFPR-FM, Redding) from Chico, CA. In November 2009, I debuted "Harmony Ridge" on Northstate Public Radio. I've been married twice and am currently not. I have no children. Have an awesome white lab.
