Brian's Story
Wow, ok I FINALLY got off my butt and decided to get organized here. I have been through some interesting times since 1983. So here I go with a timeline, please try to stay awake =P
1983 - Graduated! BOOYAH!
1984 - Father retired from the Air Force and we all came to upstate NY to be with relatives. I was undergoing culture shock for 8 months. Lol
1987 through 1994 - worked on my Uncle's Dairy farm....very interesting job. People say cows are dumb...no way! I have seen them do some strange, yet ingenious things.
1991 - Tried to move back to Bossier, lived with Jeff Foshee for a while. At the time the area was high on the unemployment rate so I ended up moving back to Upstate NY. Went back to work on the Farm...Joy.
1993 - Attended the first BHS Class reunion. Had an awesome time. Missed alot of you.
Late 1994 through 1996 - Left the farm and enrolled in a community college to obtain a CIS - AAS degree. Almost finished the course, but ran outta money to take my last two classes. That's my luck.
From late 1996 through 1998 - held odd-jobs to earn cash. The area here had very few job openings, so I drifted from job to job doing temp work. There was no market for the college courses I took either....more Joy.
Late 1998 through late 2004 - worked at a Wal-mart here in the electronics dept. It was good work, but ul...Expand for more
timately left due to stress. Not from the customers, no I like them and treated them like friends. The management is what created the stress so for health reasons I left.
Late 2004 through Jan 18th 2008 - I worked for the Bank of New York. Entry level job that payed double what I was earning at wally world and with zero stress. I would still be there too, if not for the opening where I am now....
Jan 22nd - Present - I currently work at DFAS here in Rome NY. All you Military personelle will know what that is....everyone else will have to look it up =P. Its much more fun and relaxing to work there than it was at the Bank and its a big step up in bettering myself. Finally REAL Joy!!
Now I know you have noticed that I have not mentioned getting married, or having kids. The reason is that it hasn't happened yet. I have has a few relationships but they never seemed to develop to the point of marriage. Ah well, maybe someday. I know that most of you knew me as the shy quiet and reserved kid in BHS that stood 8 feet tall. Lol, well I am the opposite now, I am loud outgoing and far from shy now. I am still tall though so I am not a complete opposite =P
I look forward to attending another reunion though, and I admit I was never popular. It really suprised me to see all the signatures and visits to my profile here. =)
Thanks
