Brian's Story
After some bad decisions and screw ups in my senior year, I finally got thru high school and married Donna in November 1969. We lived in Hanna City, Illinois for about 10 years, during this time, Donna worked for Ozark Airlines and I went to work for Pabst Brewing in Peoria Heights as a Beer Can Inspector. (at the time, I thought I had died and gone to heaven). Well, I became bored with the Inspectors job, you can only look at a Beer can so many ways, so I decided that I would be an Electrician. I went to work thru IBEW Local 34 and Zaborac Electric at Caterpillar Mossville Plant.
In 1978-1981 I traveled to Washington State for work and really liked that area. In 1983 Ozark Airlines expanded east, south and west, Donna applied for a tranfer to Orlando Fl., so we moved from Illinois. We built a house east of Orlando near the St. Johns River. During that time I met, was hired and worked for an Engineering Group at Crystal River Nuclear Plant. It was a significant turning point in my life. After much study and work I progressed from an Electrician to a position as an Electrical Engineer.
In 1986, TWA bought out Ozark Airlines and Donna had the option to move to New York or LA. Neither was an option for us, so we stayed in Florida and she became a fulltime house w...Expand for more

My work required travel all over the US, Mexico and Canada, but I never forgot about Washington State. In 1989 we decided to Washington. I was hired and moved from Florida, lock, stock and barrel by the state's only commercial nuclear power plant, Washington Pubilic Power Supply System in 1990. We built another house and Donna went back to work as a Airline Travel Agent for the Latino community. During Donna's work with her clients, she met and fell in love with a young mexican girl, Ivone, who was severly in need of attention and care. Her mother said "take Her, I can't care for Her and I don't want Her", ... we decided to adopt this young girl as own and we raised her from a 10 year old to the 21 year old woman she is today. Recently Ivone was married and I was priviledged to walk her down the aisle. She is my reason for getting up every day. (added note, Ivone gave birth to beautiful baby by in April 2014, his name is Caden.)
Currently I live in Pasco, Washington and work as an Electrical Planner in various Nuclear facilities all over this country including the local nuclear power plant. I will probably work for another 4- 5 years then retire to a vacation spot we have in western Washington on the Klickitat River. It is and has been a good life!
