Brian's Story
I attended DMACC for a semester after high school, working at Adventureland Inn for extra dough. After that semester, I joined the Marine Corps and served in Desert Storm. I moved to my hometown in Missouri where I received my AA degree in 1995. During that time I worked with homeless men and battered women and children. In 1996, I moved back to Des Moines and began working with homeless youth. I did that for several years until I became a foster/adoptive parent in 2003. ed high school with. Some names sound familiar, but without pics, I'm at a loss to who you are. Those four years are really but a fleeting moment. I wasn't popular, stuck to myself, had a few friends but can't remember who they are. lol. I remember one thing. There was a sign in the communication teachers class (I forget her name but not the sign). It said, "Good looks will not get you anywhere in life only a good education." Well I learned something right away. The saying on that sign is a crock of sheott.
