Dianne's Story
Life
Just in case you haven't already figured it out, in high school, I was Brian Schwartz. In 2000 I changed my name and have been living as Dianne Cameron ever since. If you have any questions about that, I'm pretty open and I'll be glad to answer in an e-mail.
My basic bio: I graduated from Georgia Tech with a BS in Biology in 1979. Since I didn't pursue the pre-med option I then got an ABJ in Journalism from UGA. In Athens I worked at Steak & Ale (with Michael Stipe from REM), and at The Camera Shop downtown. In 1984 I moved back to Atlanta, working first at Steak & Ale, then Wolf Camera until 1996. I took off about 6 months to write music and short stories full time, then went to work as a manager for B. Dalton / Barnes & Noble until 2003. In 2004 I started managing volume sales and out-of-store events for Chapter 11 Bookstores.

ill (pretend to) play guitar and piano and sing. I wrote music and sang / played with a "contemporary Christian praise band" in the late 90's. I've sewn several of my dancing dresses as well as clothing for every day.

For the past two years, I've worked out of my house, selling books in quantity (Need 100 copies of Who Moved My Cheese? I'm your girl.)
Mostly, however, I've been writing screenplays -- drama, action, romantic comedy, noir... I've had some success in a couple small contests, but so far no one's offered money to film any of my scripts.
For the past year, I've been volunteering with Cool Girls. It's an after-school program for low-income girls. Tuesday is Cary Reynolds (I went 1st grade there), and Wednesday is Sequoyah Middle School (used to be Sequoyah High). The girls are great, and it's interesting to see how much everything has / hasn't changed.
