Served from 1961-1965 in USAF working on ground to air communication electronics including Bomark-B missile control and guidance equipment. Worked for RCA Service Co. installing first private phone system in Richards Department stores in South Florida (see my picture on RCA magazine cover in family pictures). Worked on Lightning Detection and Ranging equipment for Federal Electric and worked on Saturn 1B booster rocket electrical networks for Chrysler Space Division. le. Was at the Apollo 1 fire next to the Command module and worked on both Apollo 11 and 13 launches. Was on the landing safing team which recovered Apollo12 and the astronaut rescue team. Then did 29 years of law enforcement commanding every major unit, serving as an Road ID technician, TACTICAL/K9/SWAT commander, Detective Commander, Patrol Commander, Communications/Records Commander, Administrative Commander and rose to the rank of Major at the Hollywood, FL PD, then hired as Police Chief at Liberty, MO and was then the first Police Chief at new city of Pinecrest, FL in Miami/Dade County. Taught management and employment law for a year at Webster College in Ocala, FL. Graduate of Broward Community College, attended Saint Thomas College then was in the first graduating class at Florida International University in 1973 with a BS in Criminal Justice, and then got MS in Management at FIU the next year. Attended Southern Police Institute Graduate School AOC #78 at University of Louisville.
Certified SCUBA diver and did an extensive amount of underwater cave diving in Florida in the 1960's.
Have hunted deer, ducks, elk, geese, wild boar, pheasant, quail, and rabbits in various states including Florida, Missouri, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Wyoming, Oregon and Washington state.
Hold FCC Commercial Radiotelephone license with Ship Radar Endorsement and Extra Class Amateur Radio license. Very active in amateur radio including SSB, FM, CW, PSK, and Olivia data modes.".
