Bruce's Story
Life
I am married and have 2 daughters and three grandchildren. Sue and I have lived in Seward for 30 years. We are semi-retired. We both are substitute teachers. Sue also observes student teachers for Concordia. We are active in the United Methodist Church, CASA volunteers and serve on a variety of boards. Sue and I are also active members of the Doane College Alumni Association.
I have been taking high school students on mission trips...Expand for more
for the last 20 + years. I play the trombone in a
community band and am an avid gardener. I am still very active in state and national counseling associations, enjoy high school athletics,traveling,and attending live theater performances.
I travel frequently to the Pine Ridge Reservation where I spend time working along side my Lakota family. They are an amazing people and have helped me a great deal as I travel my own spiritual journey.
