Bruce's Story
I started school at Washington Elem. in 1960. My last year at Greenville ,Ohio was 8th grade. Then we moved to Winchester ,Indiana in 1968 for my Freshmen yr. of HS. In my Sophmore yr. I went to Huntington North. HS in Huntington, Ind. Junior yr. we moved across the Wabash Co.line and went to Southwood HS. Then in my Senior yr. we moved near Gas City,Ind. and I graduated from Mississinewa HS. In 1972, I got married, graduated from HS, joined the Air Force, and went out west to Mt. Home AFB.Idaho. In 1976 we came back to Indiana where I was in the AF Reserves at Grissom AFB.In 1978 I transfered to Ft.Wayne to the Air National Guard at Baer Field. ot statione overseas to RAF Lakenheath,UK. Loved it in England!! In 1986 we were sent to Whiteman AFB ,Mo. for 3 yrs. then back to England 4 more years , but this time at RAF Upper Heyford. In 1993 we got orders for Minot,ND. Then in 1994 we got out and moved to Missouri where I spent time in the AF Reserves at Whiteman AFB ( again). In 2001 I got a job with the USDA and transfered to Grissom ARB where I retired in 2003. Dana & I have 4 children and (as of 2012) 15 grandchildren.Still working at USDA and enjoying life as much as I can even though our kids are spread from ALaska,Missouri,Michigan,and the Azores.
Update: 2022
My dear wife Dana passed away in June 2020. I still live in Greenville, Ohio. I now have 17 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
