rsue a his passion, and in 1997 Bruce was the winner of The Canadian Cup International Hair Competition in Toronto, Canada, where he became the first American as well as African-American to achieve this honor.
As a hairdresser Bruce has conducted many seminars around the country on haircutting, hairstyling, hair coloring, and time management in the salon. He has worked on a host of notable clients such as: Performing Artist Aretha Franklin, Mikki Howard, Bebe and Cece Winan, Ann Nesby, Patti Austin; Former Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, Former Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman, Presidential Advisor Valerie Jarrett, Political Analyst Donna Brazile; Members of Congress Barbara Lee, Maxine Waters, the late Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, Financial analyst Melanie Hobson, Former Social Secretary Desiree Rogers, Former First Lady of Washington Cora Masters Barry, Bennett College President Julianne Malveaux, and Ward 7 Councilwoman Yvette Alexander.
