Bruce's Story

I currently reside in Long Beach, CA by the beach. I am the Western Regional Manger for Grapes of Spain, a Spanish wine importer. I have been actively engaged in the wine business since 1975 with the exception of the 4 years that I was a paralegal from 1989 to 1994. I am an extremely social person and have reunited with friends that I knew and continued to stay in touch with, sometimes sporadically while I lived in Oregon from 1995 to 1998. I am a lot more sensitive than your average male and I enjoy good conversation, evenings and weekends out and I am a good listener. I have three children, all grown, my youngest, my daughter lives in Buena Park and my oldest son lives in a suburb of Portland, Oregon while my middle child, Jared lives in Thailand. Most of my current friends either went to Neff, St. Paul or St. John Bosco. I will provide a current picture and perhaps a high school picture when I figure out how to do so with this service. I always wanted to be a modern dancer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right. Scrabble, wines, fine dining, walking along the beach, movies and music are my ways to blow off steam. The political rallies that I attended were the wildest thing I ever did in school. I also ran for school V.P. Attempted a coup and resigned from the position shortly thereafter. My mother was my hero. I have lived in California, New York, Alaska and...Expand for more
Oregon and almost always career opportunities and relationships factored in with my moves. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is George Georgeieff, because he was always loyal and fun to be around. I am an avid Seattle Seahawks football fan! From my children I learned that every one must find their own way in this world I would love to see Mr. Smith again from High School English because he taught us things way beyond the basics and was a cut above all of the rest of them. I may already be truly happy. However, a Hawaiin Island working in the wine field with a compatible mate would even make it better. I still stay in touch with my first real crush and she is still one of the standards in a female relationship that I would seek. I stay in touch with her and her husband, occasionally. Her name was Debbie Griffith in high school. My best friend would tell you I'm fiercely loyal and caring, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as ecentric. While I certainly don't dress like I did 10 or 20 years ago. Style is still foremost to me and I have a keen sense of it. If I had one do over, I wouldn't have been so quick to marry after high school. At my last high school reunion, the 20th I won or probably lost by being chosen the most changed. I think everyone would be surprised that I am still a good dancer and that I ahve stayed up both with the music of yesteryear and now.
