My father was a twice-wounded WWII veteran who served in North Africa and the Pacific. My brothers and I served during the Vietnam war; my sons as Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. After graduating from Roy High School, I served as a Navy Corpsman (combat medic) with the U.S. Marines and Naval Amphibious Forces at the end of the Vietnam War.
