Bruce's Story
I left Hammond in 1967 for college in Abilene, Tx. I knew no one in Texas and it was pretty lonely for a 17 year old kid. But I survived and got a job teaching jr. high science. Then I worked for Uncle Sam at Camp Mabry in Austin. Finally went to work as an officer in the Austin Police Department....Expand for more
I retired from APD but went back to work after they started to use retirees in some special positions. I've been working 3 nights a week for the past 3 years.
Of course, there is more to my history, but who really cares?? I'm more interested in the future and what happened to everyone from Clark.
