Life
My Spouse
We met online on Relay, a BITNET precursor to IRC. Chats led to emails, which led to horribly expensive long distance bills, which led to airline flights. We wound up on Indian Rocks Beach, FL on Valentines Day 1987 at night, with a full moon, and a storm blowing in off the Gulf. THAT led to me proposing. I moved to Florida and we got married a year later. Just celebrated our 14th anniversary.
My Pets
We have two immense cats who basically own the house; we're just leasing f...Expand for more
rom them. We've since added a small cat, a stray the wife rescued from a shopping center parking lot.
My Kids
Two daughters, aged 11 and 8.
My Job
I'm a senior network engineer for the University of Florida. I spend my days dealing with routers, switches, terminal servers and faculty. The latter are the worst to work with.
Somewhere in there I got my ham radio license: WA4UF. I'm usually no 17m around 18.125, and in the evenings on 40m around 7.208. I'm all over 6m whenever it's open.
