Bruno's Story
Left Indiana in 1970 and joined the USAF. Spent 30 years returning as LtCol. Had great tours in Italy, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Was a Squadron Commander during Gulf War (Desert Storm).. I was a Munitions and Aircraft Maintenance Officer, and during my last 10 years was an EOD Officer (see movie Hurt Locker) and you will get a feel for that career choice. Left the military in 2000 and spent 8 years teaching law enforcement and military bomb squads on how to deal with large scale vehicle bombs (Oklahoma City type)) and suicide bomber and roadside devices. working for DynCorp International as a Program Director over a military support contract in the Middle East., got lots of sand in my shoes.
After joining the AF I married Carol Sawyer, who also attended Maconquah HS, but moved to Virginia Beach , VA when her father got reassigned. We married in 1973 and have 2 boys, who enjoyed our worldly travels. We ended up settling in Virginia Beach, where we still reside. Life has been good to us. Looking forward to the 50th reunion.
As you will see from some pics posted we like to travel. Our favorite spot is the Caribbean and love snorkeling and visiting as many Islands as possible. St Croix, Bonaire, and Turks and Caicos are at top of our list of fun spots to visit.
