Bryan's Story
After Poly I went to Cal State Fullerton and graduated with a degree in Communications with an emphasis on broadcast journalism. Right out of college I was one of the lucky ones who immediately scored an on air job.
Unfortunately it was in Great Falls, MT. But it was a great learning experience where I was the news anchor, weatherman and sports guy at the NBC station. I knew I didn't want to stay to long so my next stop was the CBS station in Fayetteville, AR then later moved on to CBS in Little Rock
My big break came in 1999 when I got a great job at KSWB-TV...Expand for more
in San Diego. Loved the beach, the weather and being back home in So Cal. However after nearly 15 years in TV news in 2005 I wanted to try something new, my other passion has always been politics.
I moved to the capitol of Texas - Austin. Once here I worked for the Secretary of State and then in 2007 was appointed by the state-elected Commissioner of Agriculture to be an Assistant Commissioner at the Texas Department of Agriculture.
In my spare time, which is not much, I train for triathlons and enjoy time with my five-year-old boy Hart and wife Suzanne.
