Burl's Story

More about Burl:"I'm a retired deputy district attorney who is hoping to start a new career as a CNC Programmer once I complete a couple more classes at Santa Ana College. I like music of all kinds, reading, motorcycle and mountain bike riding and have a pretty complete machine shop in my garage where I putter around doing not much of anything. Dislike commercials, so all I watch on TV is the news. Basically, life is rather boring now that I've retired. I'd rather be...Expand for more
working, so am looking for a job to keep me busy. Or a life long companion. I wish a lot of things would happen ... but they're not likely to happen until I get out and start meeting people. I long for the old days when I worked my way through college swinging a sledge hammer eight hours a day for the State Division of Highways (now CalTrans). I still have thjat sledge hammer, 46 years latyer because they presented it to me for my tireless efforts. I've always worked as hard as I could at every job I've ever held, the last being 27 years as a prosecutor, and now that I took early retirement, I'm bored and don;t know what to do with myself. Anyone have any ideas for a post-prosecutor retread?".
