Burrell's Story
Life
Update as of 30 Jul 2008.
Greetings to you all. The family and I have arrived safe and sound in San Antonio, Tx. email.
I am now 35 years of age from Monroe, La. I stayed Monroe until I was 13 and moved to San Diego, CA. What an eye opener for me. A totally diversed place. It opened my eyes to a new world. I came back to Louisiana when I was 16 and moved to the Country or the sticks as some of us call it. A place called Jones, La, way north of Bastrop, right before you get to the Arkansas state line on Hwy 165. I stayed there a year and went to Delta High School in Mer Rouge, LA. Then I moved to Rayville, LA and stay a year then went back to Jones, where I became a star student and athlete. I graduated in 1991 with honors and joined...Expand for more
the United States Marine Corps. I made it to the rank of Sergeant when I was approached to become a commissioned officer. I took the chance and completed officer's candidates school in Virginia with honors in 1997. Then I then became a 2nd Lieutenant and went off to the Basic School and onto Field Artillery School at Ft. Sill, Ok. After two years of Artillery, I became a Public Affairs Officer, which I am today. I was promoted to Major 1 Nov 2007. It was a good choice. I started going to college at night and graduated from Park University with a BS in Criminal Justice in 2002. I am married (Tracy) with three children (Chris, Ashley, Gabrielle). I was recently in Japan from 2002 - til Jun 2008 I am scheduled to return to the USA August 2008.
