Butch's Story
I retired from the Marine Corps in 1990 as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. I worked as a law enforcement officer for a couple of years and then worked for FEMA as an External Affairs Officer for 11 years. I was recalled to the Marine Corps in 2003. I served as the Adjutant of the 2d Marine Exped. Force then as the J-1 Chief in the Horn of Africa. They asked me to come back on two other occasions but Dee Ann said "NO". Got tired of always being on the road and really retired in 2008.

wife Dee Ann, our 5 horses, 2 dogs and 2 cats. I still occasionally compete in the shooting sports and teach rifle and handgun classes. Dee Ann and I love the outdoors and day hike, backpack, and hunt. Missouri Ozarks are beautiful and I try and hike somewhere in the state every weekend.
I have two lovely daughters, Melissa and Sherrie. Six grand-kids. They keep me young.
Since I left Cottonport I have traveled the world and lived abroad. In all of those years I don't think I've found a better place to grow up.
