William (Buzzie)'s Story

Life After graduating from SOC HS I was in the Air Force, in Vietnam and Southeast Asia most of my four years. Had fun. Graduated from the University of Corpus Christi, (A&M at C.C. now), in '71 and was going back into the USAF to fly, but my eyes went bad looking at all the mini skirts I guess. Worked for the Boy Scouts in San Antonio, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sherman, Harlingen, and Davenport Iowa. Retired in 2001. I was a CEO for 17 of my 30 years so I'm pretty spoiled. Was married exactly 31 years. No kids, but currently I have one great Tom Cat. I have a house on Lake Palestine, south of Tyler Texas. I really enjoy riding my Big Harley, Esparanza. I'm in excellent health after getting rid of the Thyroid Cancer in 2001, and am in great shape, probably better than when I was in school. I'm working on starting a new life, at least the second half. In May of 2006 I went back to work after a ten month job search. School High School is like a blurr now. It wasn't any fun, or not much I remember. Seems like the fun was being in the Boy Scouts and other groups. Throwing the Dallas Morning News at three AM with RB Locke, and Billy Vinson was a lot of fun sometimes also, except for the time we were abducted by Alien Women and were held as sex slaves. College After College, I got married, and went to work for the Boy Scouts. Started in San Antoio, Tx., then Tulsa, Ok., then Sherman Tx., then Harlingen, Tx., and lastly Davenport, Iowa. red July 2001, divorced Jan. 2003. Thirty years doing everything. I currently have a house on Lake Palestine, just south of Tyler, Texas. I ride my Harley most weekends, and am getting used to living in a new place. I like to fly R/C Airplanes, play some golf, and taking piano lessons. It's rough, but somebodies got to do it. Workplace Worked for the Boy Scouts for thirty years. Moved around almost every four years. Worked in San Antonio, Tx., Tulsa, Okla., Sherman, Tx., Harlingen, Tx., and Davenport, Iowa. I was the CEO in my last seventeen years, so I'm really pretty spoiled. After five years of retirement and living way out on Lake property, I now have gone back to work. Military After training in Amarillo Texas and becoming an F105 Crew Chief, my frist assignment was the 18th OMS, Kadena AFB, Okinawa. I was lucky enough to be assigned to the 44TFS. We were always TDY, until Vietnam began. We were sent to Danang, toward the end of 1964, to reconfigure Birds coming from Thailand for strike missions. From there to Kansas for a short time then back to Korat Thailand and rejoining the 44TFS. My last assignment was Nellis AFB. Then College four years, then married, then working for the Boy Scouts of America for thirty years, and am now retired, and divorced. I live on a Lake in East Texas, and spend a lot of time on the Big Harley. In 2006 I decided being retired was boring, so found a job on the computer...
