Byron's Story
In 1963 my family moved from Iowa to Omaha, where I attended Junior High School. In 1965, my family moved East to the Washington DC area and I attended High School in Maryland. I attended a local College for two years and transferred to the University of Maryland, where I got my Bachelors of Science in Information Systems Management.
Worked summers for professional Lawn Mowing Company, the FDIC, and the Bureau of the Census. Move to VA around 1976. Married in 1980. Worked full time for the US Army Corps of Engineers (6.5 yrs), the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (23.5 yrs) and the Bureau of Indian Affairs (2 yrs). Retired many years ago. My wife and I have 3 children. Two sons with Engineering degrees from VA Tech and my daughter has doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marymount Univ. Three grandchildren.
Interests: Family and Friends, Astronomy, Science, History, Genealogy, Using DNA in family research, Helping Adopted cousins find our family links, Downhill Skiing, Martial Arts (2nd degree Moo Duk K...Expand for more

Favorite Music: All types, but really depends on the song, not it's category. Ones that I can dance to or generates an uplifting/ high energy response from me. Nostalgic type songs i.e. "Somewhere in Time, Nadias' Theme, etc.
Favorite Movies: The Time Machine, Forbidden Planet, The 300 Spartans (Original), Day The Earth Stood Still (1951), SwashBuckler/SciFI Movies like Star Wars or ones w/Erol Flynn, 3-Musketeers (1935, 1950s), Braveheart, The Long Ships, The Vikings, Bond Films, etc. Musicals with great Dance numbers, etc. Good Martial Arts, like Enter the Dragon, etc. Feel good movies like Its a Wonderful Life, Wall-E, The Fastest Gun Alive 1956) and so forth. Good Romantic Comedies like Romancing the Stone, Overboard (1987). Movies based on historical facts. Intricate Movies that are put together well like Batman-The Dark Knight, Back to the Future movies.
