Byron's Story
I went to Ursinus College after graduating from William Penn. Graduated from Ursinus in 1969 and went to the University of California, Berkeley for the Ph.D. Program in Political Science. I completed my Ph.D. in 1974 and became a professor of political science at Chico State University in Chico, California. Provost for Academic Affairs, and finally Dean of Behavioural and Social Sciences, retiring in May 2006. I got married to my wife Joan in 1977 and we have two sons who also live on Vancouver Island in the Victoria area. I moved to Victoria in 2006 and love living here close to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. I became a Canadian citizen in 2011 and hold dual citizenship. I love the outdoors, hike and walk quite a bit, and love living on Vancouver Island in Western Canada.
