C's Story

Hard to believe 30 years have past since we walked the halls of Patterson and visited Mother Hubbards. Let's see... I'm not sure how anyone would remember me... The fat guy on the swim team... : ) Mr. James and the Patterson Press... I'm using the Story Wizard to share what I've been doing.. I always wanted to be a Journalist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were right.... I recently took up running...yeah me running. Don't laugh to hard! But I love it... Wish I was wild, but really didn't do anything worthy of being called wild. My dad was and will forever be my hero. Even though he's no longer here I think of him often. Life wouldn't be the same if I didn't believe Christ died for me... Needless to say... I'm born again. Thanks to the job, I've lived in Baltimore, Pasadena, England, Miami FL, Gettysburg, and most recently Virginia Beach. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Omar Boyd, because he was a friend of my family.. I've turned into a geek..love to read and learn about new technology. Sharon and I split in 1999 after 22 years, totally caught by surprize... dah yes it hurt. But it's okay, everthing turned around when when Lo...Expand for more
ri came into my life! Of all the teachers we had, Mr. Taylor was a favorite and of course Coach Johnson. When I retire goal is to move to Belise and have quiet time with Lori in the warm sun. She ripped my heart out and stomped on it... But I'm better for it... My best friend would tell you I'm out going, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a wall flower.. The weirdest job I ever had was when I was a Police officer you get to see the real wackos. I share my home with my wife Lori, who loves me for who I am... a goofy old dude. As for trophies, the one I'm most proud of is the one I recieved for completing my first half marathon. If I had one do-over, it would to be during my divorce to lead with my business skills and not my heart...would've cost less. I met friends in college who will always be very close brothers. We all liked sports and a desire to make a difference. Major weight loss... not the same size actually 30 lbs less than when we graduated. My first job was at Police Officer, where I got paid $11,949 a year. What I remember most about it is I paid for a house, car and bills... thinking about it today I'm left scratching my head. Look forward to hearing from others...
