Charles Garrison:  

Life I w3as born in Kansas and grew up in Oklahoma (many towns, ending up in Ardmore) and then moved to Great Falls, Montana at the start of grade 11. I was active in band, Boy Scouts, and church work outside of school and was a nerd's nerd in school. I went to Montana State College (which became Montana State University) in chemical engineering, finishing up in 1968 with both a BS and MS. In the process I met and later married Gloria Stevens of Billings MT. Still being nerdy, I shifted to University of Oklahoma and got a PhD in chemical engineering. I was an Army officer (Chemical Corps) for a while. We then moved to Cincinnati, OH, where I started with Procter & Gamble Co and stayed with them for 32 years. I've done mostly process work, particularly in heat transfer and mixing. Towards the end, I did internal consulting in a wide variety of technical areas. I was involved in a lot of our big brands--Downy, Bounce, Pringles, Torengos, and a few others. In the process I received 4 US patents and published several articles. I developed the new process to make Ivory and Camay bar soap, which later was became the industry standard process for "soap" bars.
