CHERYL's Story

For any of you that graduated with me and really want to know about me way back then, here is a brief description of my High School years: I was a somebody but in our stuck up class a "nobody". What few friends I had, we considered ourselves "misfits". We weren't greasers, popular, the intellect, partiers, "just good kids". A dream come true for most parents ( and teachers). Our highs were just talking about everything and anything, taking long walks year round, riding bikes when the weather was nice, shopping, even if we had car's are not. We loved our music and life was simple. To be honest, I didn't much care for the people I went to school with. I had a last name that didn't help. During high school, I was forever "getting grounded!" And didn't know why. One positive thing about being grounded was my brother Will Przesmycki, GOD BLESS HIS SOUL MAY HE REST IN PEACE, would send albums up to my room for me to listen to to pass the time away. MC5, Traffic, so many bands names allude me now. Quite an education. Thankful he introduced me to the early music of the Moody Blues. Been a fan since and have nearly all their concerts. Anyways, The grounded part, I ended up missing my senior Prom. My only remaining sibling confessed she was always lying and setting me up to see how far she could get with my mom. It was a game to her. Yeah, out of the five of us, Will, Mike and Marianne have all passed away. That was then this is now. education. Well now I live with my significant other and have two investment time shares in Hawaii. One in Maui & one on the Big Island. WE Avoid the tourists at all costs. live there for six months., HERE SIX MONTHS., always trying to explore different parts of the world when we can. Process of selling house in Garden City. Never married and never blessed with children but being now a retired teacher, had the opportunity to spoil my students, especially my special education students young to older ones. God gave me the opportunity to work with such wonderful people. Will occasionally check in on this site, why I don't know. Maybe and hope to connect to a long lost friend Dr. Nancy Juoperi now remarried and mom. Proud she's a Doctor, a Neurologists I think. Yeah, she was overlooked as a nobody also. So was Kathy Humphrey (Musick now) and she's one hell of an Artist, graduated with honors at U of M Ann Arbor, quite a history with her art. Hope others are out there that were like me that that had successful stories, or are just happy. If there is class reunion in the near future which I doubt, you most likely will not see me there. The reception at the 10 year was as cold as I was treated in High School. No love loss. Oh who ever was on the committee(s) finding classmates for the reunions did a piss pour job finding classmates. I've been a resident in Garden City most of my life and an employee for Garden City Public Schools. Even listed in the White Pages. Yep, didn't look too hard now did they..............
