Calvin's Story

I think its kind of funny how we all wander to these sites after so many years, curiosity or something more? Probably not - just checking the horizon for who's there, who made it and how the journeys been to where we are now. I hope your all well, enjoyed the ride so far, and that each one of you is grateful for the new day ahead. I saw a segment on Good Morning America a short time ago about writing your life down in 6 words or less. I think mine would read something like the following "Cautious Eclectic Loving Life in the West" or "Ex Coastie searches for success in the sun". I think I've made pretty good use of my time over the years - certainly no mistaking that I did it my way good or bad, but overall though I think I've had a pretty good run and the forties are shaping up nicely. o I enlisted in the US Coast Guard, spent a lot of time on the water and enjoyed it immensely. One day I woke up and decided it was time to finish school - that thought lead to a masters - a 19 year marriage to a good friend and a twenty plus year career as an engineer and land developer. A wild ride most certainly. I now live a short distance from Lake Tahoe in one of the prettiest areas I think ever seen with my girl friend, and her two beautiful daughters. I opend my company doors with my girl friend at my side and haven't looked back, I think the likes of Kedski, Gallagher, Brennan and Fountain would say that's cool or you've done well young man, Bubba always had a good word for us - god knows I owed them thanks for thier humor and inspiration. To say that I found my life in the west would be an accurate statement, to say that I've found true satisfaction - well I guess we'll have to wait and see.
