Calvin Choy:

CLASS OF 1971
San bernardino, CA

Calvin's Story

Life I graduated from UC Davis in 1976 with a degree in Zoology, then took classes CSU Sacramento in Computer Science. After deciding that I didn't really like school anymore, I worked as an animal curator at a small natural history museum, worked on a construction crew building custom homes & small commercial bldgs, built Hobie Cats at their factory in Oceanside, and finally went to work for GTE Data Services (data processing) in Sacramento. Downsized after 14 years, I took 18 months off to golf, bike, snowboard (Lake Tahoe & Banff in Canada), and generally bum around. I've been at Deltanet,Inc. in Rancho Cordova (Sac) for the last 6+ years ...Expand for more
managing a data center ops team, & now doing Change Mgmt. Bitten by the travel bug, I've made 5 trips to Amsterdam, NL. It's an incredible city, & a great country. At home, I'm still a PC geek & built custom, one-off, computer gaming PCs (yeah, I use 'em for other stuff too like Web, email & resumes). LAN gaming parties are especially fun. I'm in sporadic contact with other "class of '71" classmates whose names I don't see here. I'll let 'em know about this site. I'd love to hear from any of you who remember who I am. Oh yeah, no kids, no pets, no life ... but I gots me a "killer dog" home theater system! <hehehe> Updated: Sept '03
