Cameron's Story
I was at Dunbarton from 1982 to 1984. I was born and raised in the Windsor, ON area, but my dad was in management at Chrysler Canada, and got transferred to the Ajax Trim Plant in '81. He worked there for one year before moving the family to Pickering in the fall of '82. I had already started grade 10 at Sandwich Secondary in LaSalle, and then transferred to Dunbarton. ore makes sense about my life. Now I understand why I couldn't relate to people as a teenager, why I was so afraid of others, and why no one could understand me. Sometimes I even rejected the friendship of others because I couldn't understand why they would want to hang around with someone as undesirable as myself! I was a Christian then, and I am a stronger Christian today, and I now have the faith that God does work all things out for His glory. God has never, and will never fail me.
I have been employed at Chrysler Canada as a blue collar worker since 1985, and I now work in vehicle repair. I repair everything on the Chrysler minivan except the engine, transmission, and heating/AC systems. I enjoy my work, but Asperger's problems still make work relations difficult. I am learning to cope with it, and recognize where my perceptions are wrong.
