Life I work as a Senior Research Specialist in the state House of Representatives in Harrisburg. I have worked in the legislature since 1990. Prior to that, I had worked for seven years as a reporter at the Pocono Record in Stroudsburg, Pa., the Pottsville Republican in Pottsville, Pa., the Anderson, S.C. Independent-Mail and the York Daily Record in York Pa. I also serve on the York City Council, which I won election to in November 2001. I had served on the York City School Board for six years prior to the election to City Council and on the Zoning Board for eight years. My former wife, Kyomi and I were married for 21 years, but we have divorced, hence the term former We met in Pottsville, Pa., of all places. Who would ever have thought of Pottsville as being a romantic place? Amazing. Kyomi and I raised three children, a foster son, Maurice Rocky Ausby, who is 26, a daughter, Erin, who is 20, and a son, Curtis, who is 17. Additionally, I have produced, edited and hosted the weekly television program, In the Center with Cameron Texter, on White Rose Community Television, Cable 16, in York County since 1995. I have traveled throughout the United States since my high school days and spend my vacation time camping in different parts of the state and the country.
