David's Story

Life Up until April of 2004 spent my entire life in Alabama. After high school went to college (TSU & TSUM)but had to enlist in the Alabama National Guard. Went to work for the Guard in Oct 1975 and was with them until 1 May 2003 when I retired. During that time I was deployed right after 9/11 to Ft Monroe, VA with Joint Task Force Civil Support. After returning to Alabama, I retired with 31 yrs 5 mos and 9 days service with just a little over 22 yrs being active. Spent 1.5 yrs in VA as a Dept of Defense civilian as the Training Administrator for the Chemical,Biological,Radiological and Nuclear Directorate of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency. Moved back in Montgomery as a Senior Consultant for Benchmark International Inc. and after a few months had to move away again due to the job... presently reside back in Arlington, VA and am working for Cambe...Expand for more
r Corporation in the Joint Program Executive Office Chemical and Biological Defense as a Program Specialist for the Army Emergency First Responder Program. School Not much to really say here... after Lanier, went to Troy State (Main) and when didn't go to school for the spring qtr of 71 so I could do contract work for the railroad.. my draft status changed.. so I enlisted.. but I did go back to school (TSUM) and have completed 4 yrs but no degree. Seems like calculus got the best of me.. may try to get some more ed while in VA. Military Very simple to enter this... Enlisted 22 Nov 71 and retired 1 May 2003 as a Master Sergeant (E8). Served with Co B 131 Sig Bn, Co A 31st Spt Bn, 1987 Pers Svcs Co, 31st ASG, 167th TSC,and Joint Task Force Civil Support (Operation Noble Eagle). Total Service: 31 yrs 5 mos 9 days 22 yrs 25 days of that was Active Duty.
