Antonio's Story

You've got to see my jukebox collection. 1 Seeburg, 3 Wurlitzers, 1 Rockola. I collect 45's, especially from the 50's and early 60's. Looking for recordings from local groups from those years. My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as reserved. I really was shy and still am around strangers. My first job was at Joske's, where I got paid very little to sell books and art supplies. What I remember most about it is the beautiful interior of the store, especially at Christmas time. My classmates would be surprised that I was elected to a public position because I was never elected to any class position. Payasos would nominate me but never vote for me. Big joke. I got even with them. Who got the last laugh? In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by eating healthy and being kind to others. Who knows what happened to my first crush? She never was interested in me, but I guess she got married and is now like the rest of us, fat and ugly. Hope not. She was a beauty and I have never forgotten her.(Remember me, Lollie?) And then there was Angela. Never paid much attention to her but she was sweet. Darn it, she moved on to Jefferson and out of my life. Does any body know what happened to little Dolores Rodriguez former ch...Expand for more
eerleader? Recently started pimping my old 89 Firebird. New front end, new rear end, new hood with scoops, and sideskirts. Will make more modifications until you can no longer recognize it was a Firebird (look at photos). Running out of time to be a kid again. Will try to buy an 81 DeLorean for fun as well. Who knows what other crazy thing I'll try before the Chariot swings low for me. Having a wonderful time with grandkids. Never thought I would find satisfaction in someone else's kids. But they are after all my flesh and blood. Looking to reconnect with Abraham Mercado, Alex Santos, Ralph Cortez and others that ran with me during the innocent fifties. Would also like to reconnect with shipmates from the U.S.S Tutuila ARG-4 in S Division during 1961 -1963 Great guys. Have recently reconnected with a number of Lanier exes through "Mula" Felix Yruegas and others. Meeting at Ray's Drive-in is becoming a regular event. Not the same as "La Casa Grande Bakery and Cafe" but still a great place, especially with Arturo Lopez running the place there. I miss all the students I taught art at Harris Middle School between 1964 and 1967. I occasionally run into some of them and they have turned out to be beautiful productive citizens. A few have come before me in the judicial system but I love them too.
