Life
My Pets
I have the 2 greatest dog's in the world, Conan who is 10 (he's a shihtzu/pekingese mix - mostly hair and attitude!) and Odus - our beloved Pug puppy. What a hoot he is, like having a circus in the house all the time. I volunteer at the Colorado Pug Rescue and I work at Alameda East Veterinary Clinic - ever watch Animal Planet's Emergency Vets? Yup, that place.
We had the world's longest living Hamster I think, Shirley. She was one week short of 4 years old when she passed on during the Superbowl this past February. We had a funeral in the backyard at halftime and..........gee.............I missed the Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake whoopla. bummer.
My Kids
My oldest daughter Maria, is 24. Wow, time goes fast. She is a 2nd grade school teacher in Omaha, Nebraska. The "middle child", Sheena, is 22 and works (when it doesn't interfere with her social life) at Chile's. My youngest, John is 13 (a New Year's day baby) and is active in basketball, baseball and of course, our dogs. He wants to be a policeman.
My Job

ospitals. I have also worked at animal clinics in Nebraska and Texas. I adore pets and have found that I have more faith in the trust and loyalty of my dogs than I do of the men that I have managed to wreck my life with over the past 20 years. Who knows, maybe a miracle will say hello to me someday and change my mind.
I found myself starting my life all over at 40 and it has been very difficult. But I've found with a good attitute and a great sense of humor, it can't go anywhere but up from here! I got stooopid and moved to a foreign country for a year (TEXAS - Houston). Whew! Realizing that I couldn't live without the mountains (or my family) I moved home, this time for good. Living on the equator just wasn't the place for me. When I want that kind of heat, I'll go to the tanning salon. Those "good ol' boys" grow bugs bigger than cars down there! Unfortunately, still occasionally when I talk, a ya'll or two will escape from my lips, but I'm working on that.
When they say "life begins at 40", well, I'm counting on it. I'm hoping and praying that the second half of my stay here on earth is much less eventful and stressful than the first half!
