Carinne's Story
Well after I graduated I worked through out the summer then moved to Reno, NV on August 1st to start my freshman year in the dorms at the University as an Animal Science Major. I am so glad I chose to live in the dorms my first year in college. It was the best time of my life and I will always remember those times. During my time at the dorms I worked at the University Equestrian Center and a local western store called D bar M. Then I moved into the university apartments and started a job as a research technician at Charles River Laboratorie working with monkeys. I worked there for a year and learned a lot and loved my job. Then I decided I needed something a little more low key so I could really concentrate on school. I was still going to school when I was working at Charles River it was just physically really draining for me to work long hours and still got to school full ...Expand for more
time. Then I took more credits and took up a job at the Feline Medical Center as a receptionist and only worked 30 hours a week so I could put more time into school. Then I got a good job offer at Northwest Veterinary Hospital and took up a technician positon there. I only worked there about a month and decided it wasn't quite what I was looking for. Then a girlfriend of mine hooked me up with a job as legal assistant at a law firm and I have been here ever since. It was total shift of enviroment for me but I am finding I love it and might even go on to law school after I get my bachelors. Along the way with all of this I found the man of my dreams and got married on September 13, 2008. I have a great husband, a beautiful home, and an awesome job. Now I go to work part time and go to school full time and am enjoying every day of my married life hoping to start a family soon.
