We will not survive to compete, on the rapidly expanding Global Race to produce Cash Grain Crops; if we factor in the Explosion of the opening up of Arible Crop Land to Modern Farm Mechanisation World Wide; in conjunction with GMO's, and in a Synergistic Combination, with Specialty Use Herbicides, and the introduction of Naturalally Occuring Insecticide producing Genetics, into the Germ-Plasm of Normal [Open Pollenated] Crops, then they Patent them. For those of you that are totally unaware of these facts, there is another far more sinister race taking place. If History is to be any Guide, and my experiance in the Bedding Plant Industry is used as an example: Flowers that once Smelled as Beautiful as they Looked, have disapeared from the Wholesale Production Seed Catalogs, in favor of the newest [no fragrance] and most advertised [Big Lot Stores], including the Branding of these Cultivars. Martha Stewart's name is in constant use in reference to the new AAS [American Award Selection] Cultivars. We are now seeing Bonnie Plat Farms as a Branding and Sales Tool. In past years, we bought Bare-Root Tomato Plants, 3 Cultivars of the Sweet-Potato / Yam's, and Bunched and Boxed [Wooden Crates] Onion Plants of every description. Including Red & White varieties, The GranX Types - Vidalia, Walla-Walla, and The Texas 10/15 - all of the latter were intended to be planted durring Short Days and Long Nights. The 10/15 is an indicater of this, as is the Gilroy California 'Garlic': Planted on Dec. 21[the shortest day] and Harvested on or about June 21[the longest day]. Garden Centers in the Midwest have no ethicel grounds to sell these, except, that is what the customer has been told they want. And, if that isn't enough, what was exellent this year, will undoubtably be eclipsed in the next. And now, we come back to the Farm, to grow these GMO Cash Grain crops, one is required to sign an Intellectual Property Agreement, Pay an additional Licencing Fee; and for what, so your fields will grow 'Super Weeds', weeds that consistantly become resistant to ever increasing levels of the class specific Herbicide that the GMO was developed to tollerate .
