Carl's Story
Left Padstow school went to clarendon to study catering, that year all vacancies was full decided to enrol in Bakery and Flour Confectionery , Had some good times worked long unsociable hours at both ends of the trade " ie; small craft bakeries too high end High volume factories. But never lost my passion for cooking, as my late father used to say to me " a Nottingham saying " more strings to your bow you will never be out of work son . s sous chef and Head Chef even a bottle washer. My second passion was to serve which I did eventually as a chef in two conflicts travelled the world . But never really left Nottingham . Now looking at retirement .
and settling down with a new job as a professional driver HGV . Looking forward to watching my Grandchildren grow .
Off to a school reunion soon from a old mate of mine John Carlise JOHNNY .
