Carl's Story
I joined the class of '51 in the Junior year after returning from several years living over seas. You would know me more as Skip than as Carl. After graduation I went to Bradley University in Illinois for a year and a half and Uncle Sam wanted me to serve in his Army. I decided I did not want to serve in his Army but I would serve in his Navy, Other than a split tour of Instructor duty in Oklahoma and Tennessee I spent the next thirty years somewhere around the Pacific Ocean, West Coast, Alaska, Jap...Expand for more
an and the Philippines. After retiring I completed my college degree and did a few years of Financial Planning and gave that up when my wife got seriously ill. I spent ten years teaching at a community college, mostly part time. Now I try and enjoy the time the Lord is allowing me in Kilgore, TX.
I have two children, a son living in Maryland, a daughter living in South Carolina and one stepson, living in California. I have five grandchildren, three great grand children and one great great grandchild.
