Carl's Story
After SBHS, I graduated from Mercer County Community College (AS-Biology) and Trenton State College (BA-Biology). I actually dug ditches for 6 months for an irrigation company until I went to work for NJ State Health Dept. Labs testing drugs and then on to the NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection as an environmental specialist. I was a "Stack Tester" and an Air Pollution "policeman" and an Emergency Responder (I was there when Chemical Control blew up in Elizabeth in 1980, and saw some other major environmental disasters and no, they weren't my fault!).From 1988 I was ...Expand for more
in charge of the "Technical Support Section" for the "Toxic Catastrophe Prevention Act" Program (No-Bopals) until I retired in 2010. I've been married for almost 38 years to Donna Sue (MacIlroy) from Somerville and have two fine kids - Geoffrey (32) and Jenna (30) and two fine grandkids (Quinn and Hailey)! We have a nice home in Roebling NJ with three cats and two dogs. We really enjoy kayaking whenever we get the chance! I am now enjoying a well deserved retirement with my wife, who also retired last year. . .
