Carl's Story
Military
I joined the Air Force in August 1958. After basic training
and air police tech school I was assigned to Bergstrom AFB to
the law enforcement section. In June of 1961 I was reassigned
to Osan AB Korea. I was discharged in July of 1962.
In April of 1963 I joined the Air Force Reserve until it
was dissolved in 1965. I then transfered to the New York Air National Guard. In January oe 1968...Expand for more
our unit was federized and
in May I was sent Tuy Hoa AB Vietnam. Iwas there until May of
1969 when Icame home and was discharged in June of 69.
I stayed in the NYANG until I retired in December 1981.
While all this was going on I also worked for Sonoco Products
Inc. I retired in 2002 and now enjoy a life of relaxation.
