Life
Who would have thought that at age 38 I'd be living in Farmington (a mere 2 miles from my parents), PTO president, involved in church, and working only part-time so I can be a hands-on mom?! Maybe some of you guys knew, but it's a bit of a surprise to me! My goal was to get out of Farmington and eventually become an English teacher. Instead, I got into consulting, got married, had one child, and moved back to town. I married in 1989 and my daughter was born in 1995, after the requisite pilgrimage to England. Ah, high school.
Workplace
I've worked at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where I met my husband. Then, after having my daughter, moved to The Hartford, where I worked until 2000, when my daughter entered Kindergarten and I resigned. I telecommuted part-time for The Hartford for a while, then got into real estate. After two brutal years, I got out of real estate and went back to The Hartford for my old boss. I work in the International Division now, part-time general business consulting, and I love it.
