Carla's Story

As fun, happy, and outgoing. I always wanted to be a people person when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a spot on idea. As it turns out, they were absolutely correct. Take a walk in the woods, or go for a long hike up the canyon. Sometimes gardening, or doing the dreaded paperwork. What wild thing did I not try to do? That's the better question. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have nice people to work with , great pay, and stay busy constantly to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My Boys are my greatest strength and my inspiration, they are both wise, kind and patient, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have them. Oklahoma City born and raised, moved to Duncan, OK at 18 to marry high school sweetheart. Wasn't ready at all so moved back to OKC to be with friends and family. Got married again and moved to New Mexico, had 2 wonderful boys; still a wonderer, I guess; free spirited as I was, I left again, back to OKC. Then went for a visit to South Carolina, wound up married again. Only to pack up and move back to Okla., this time to Mcloud. This time stayed single for a while, met a wonderful man, became a widow. Left Okla. for good this time, straight back to New Mexico met the man of my dreams and have been with him since 2006, married for 4 years this year. Life is finally settled down for me, Thank You God!! The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Calista Jean (Jeannie) Franks, because it seems like we are connected, she was there when I lost my cousin, had children, got divorced, dated her brother, and I miss her more than anyone, she's a rock!. Investigation Discovery (ID) channel. True Crime. I wish forensics had been around when we were in school, I would have found my interest-calling. I find forensics so interesting, I just can't get enough, that and my Grandson! That I could possibly ever have been so wild when I turned out to be so mild, ha ha ha. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel not remodel but landscape the front yard with grass and add on a inground swimming pool. My dream home would be on a desert island.. That even when life throws you a giant curve ball, we can always recover. It's not about what you have, or own but who you really are...inside; strong and unbreakable! Mr. Jenkins our science teacher, to apologize for being such a cut-up, because his class was truly interesting, and I wish I could have gotten into it more. If I won $10...Expand for more
0 million, I'd give 1/2 of it to homeless children, then spend the rest on my kids, parents and grandchildren. On a desert island, enjoying the great outdoors, with my family. Nope, no college, too bad it would have been very enlightening. My current age is 48. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be very tired. I was so completely wrong. Luckily I am retired. But I truly enjoyed working as an operator for Southwestern Bell. As for now I enjoy being home and taking care of my family. I hadn't heard anything about him since he moved. He was so cute, but I only admired him every time he passed by my house, LOL. My best friend would tell you I'm crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as open, and honest. Yep, pretty much! Tight pants, bell bottom of course, cute shirts, a pony tail is different these days. Love shoes even more, and I still hate coats and jackets. Not so much wierd, as interesting, delivering phone books, with my sister-in-law and all of our young children. I share my home with my mother-in-law,husband,and occasionally one of the boys, which I find chlostrophobic at times but always a blessing.. Only my boys-Soccer for both, Math & Principles Honor Roll for the youngest, Perfect Attendance for the oldest, and Gifted Awards for both. Paid more attention in school, listened to my Mother a lot closer, tried harder to settle down, and been kinder to all those I met or knew. In 10 years, I hope to be sailing the ocean blue. I'm going to get there by begging the kids and grand to come along. The oldest I can think of would be Sandy Wood and Tina Bothe. Because we all wanted to grow up too fast and we thought we should do it together. The amount of times I've been married, and the fact of how much I finally did settle down. What a wonderful Mother I have been, and how involved I still am with my kids. I have one living next door, with the Grandbaby, Yeah!! My first job was at Del Rancho Drive In on Western, where I got paid 1.75 to carhop. What I remember most about it is how fun it was and how close it was to the foosball hall.. My 16th Birthday, it was a surprise and my friend told me I should wear a dress-something was up, I knew it but never expected a surprise party. And sledding through the tunnels in the winter on cardboard and tire tubes, we laughed so hard we almost wet ourselves. Surprisingly Jeannie was there both times, man I really miss her!!
