Carla's Story

Carla Chapin (Pearson) is a retired teacher who still substitutes in the high schools. She writes children's picture-books on earth science, feelings and emotions, and social-emotional learning (SEL). These books work to help children understand themselves and their place in the world through animal characters and diverse human companions. sten to live music and lives near Glacier Park, Montana, USA. She won a 4-year scholarship to the University of Denver through Jr. Achievement and was named in "Who's Who in American College and Universities," "Reader's Digest Speakers Corp," and "Tomorrow's Leaders." She took a double major in sociology and psychology. Later in life, she earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Great Falls, in Montana and majored in history. She was on the President's Honor Roll and admitted to the Honors Symposium.
