Carlan's Story
Life
I am currently living in Savannah, GA with my husband of 29 years, and our two boys, one is still at home, the other, hallelujah!! has his own apartment! We got here by a very convoluted route, via New Jersey, Tennessee (where both boys were born), Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, and back to Georgia. I've worked in medical management, since 1992, started with the prison system, went to commercial insurance and now I work for UniCare a division of Wellpoint in their state sponsored business, AKA Medicaid. I now do medical management for the great states of West Virginia and Texas.
I stay pretty active, I have been captain of a 3.0 women's tennis team for the past 5 years. We've been to the State Championships twice, both it seems were just for fun trips ,cause we got beat, BAD!!I stepped down as captain this past November, managed to rip up my knee, OUCH!! had a little surgery and now, ...Expand for more
except for the damned arthritis, I am back on the courts pain free. Getting old is quite the adventure.
I read, I am addicted to Suduko, and I have a blast playing with my grandson, Kurt, compliments of my oldest son, a former girlfriend and of course ALCOHOL!!! He didn't come into this world under ideal circumstances, but by golly he is the most loved chid I have ever seen, and up in the top 5 best people that ever come into my life !!
I've done a little traveling, went to China for 3 weeks with my mom, yes that was a mixed blessing trip!!! There is a reason we are supposed to LEAVE the NEST!!! Momma bird gets crazy after we leave! My husband, Ralph, and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in Hawaii..that place is just toooo far away, lovely, but toooo far away.
