Carlene's Story
Life
I work in a Factory in Shelbyville. Been there almost 17 years. I was in the Army for 10 years. My husband made me get out. I had to go to Desert Storm in 1991 and it was hard for my family and me but we made it okey. After that my husband wanted me to get out and I did. Then a few years later my husband past away. And I never went back to the Army. I still miss the Army today. I have a daughter who is 20 and a granddaughter who is 10 months old. I have a dog. He is 1. He is my big baby. He is a yorkie-poo. He is mostly all white with some cream color on his ears and back side. I love the out doors. I plan to do alot of camping this year and kaykaing. Any thing out doors I'm in to.
I used to couch Special Olympic's. But I hurt my back and couldn't work with them any more. My back is fine now but I didn't go back to couching. I do miss it. I couched basketball and softball for 8 years. I did alot of things with th...Expand for more
em to. I took them camping and swimming. I even took them kaykaing in the Kentucky river. We went to Tennesse and went white water rafting with my Special Olympican. We would go to Kentucky Kingdom alot. I still go to Kentucky Kingdom when I can.
I'm planning on moving back to Frankfort real soon. Hoping to find some old friends from school.

My biggest crush was my brother's best-friend in school. (Joe) The teacher who helped me the most was Mrs. Catlett and Mrs. Moore.
I loved school when I was growing up but I would not do it again.
Most of my friends were guys. I hung out with 7 guys and my Mom knew all of them. We all would go out driving and racing others. We would play basketball and softball and they would treat me like one of the guys. I didn't hang out with alot of girls. They were not as fun as the guys.I have an older sister and we do alot together now. We take a lot of trips together now.
