I moved to Indianapolis in 1987 and have been here since. I spent many years in hotel sales and marketing, then worked for a builder/developer for years and now I'm in my final phase. I've been working with senior citizens (our parents/grandparents) and their families in Assisted Living and Nursing Home admissions and marketing. Well I finally took the plunge in January and started my own business. I developed a website called AgingAvenues for the children of seniors (us) to find out about issues affecting our parents, plan for the future and find services. Things are going well but owning your own business is more work than I ever imagined. I almost forgot the personal stuff, I didn't get married until I was 35. I was busy working and traveling. I had a baby girl, Sophie at 37. I know I was crazy. I divorced when she was only 2 because of abuse and found myself being a single parent with no family around. That's a tough job....Expand for more
