Carma's Story
Life
After highschool, I discovered why the Swiss are passionate about their chocolate while studying at Franklin College in Lugano. Small schools usually have a corresponding small staff. When my economics teacher was also my history teacher was also my Italian teacher, I realized I couldn't stay forever. I returned to lovely sunny Denver, to the University of Denver for a year, majored in Italian, met Gaetano, (my fiancee) who is from Lucca (Tuscany). I studied the following year at the University of Bologna, in Italy (known for tortellini and two fantastically leaning towers, and their very eclectic university students (sp. DAMS)). been teaching English as a foreign language in Parma (known for Parmigiano cheese, Prosciutto ham, and fog) I have also worked intermittently in restaurants and hotels (summer breaks, etc). I would very much love to be the person to save the world, but it turns out that tragedies depress me immensely, and I work much better and more efficiently in positive environments. (A reality I had to admit to myself a while ago). Never in a million years would I go back to re-live highschool: it is a phase everyone must go through once. I am quite in love with Parma and it's little pink charm, and I am very rarely homesick. On occasion I miss my friends from Denver. That is the one thing I have not been able to substitute here.
