Carmen's Story
After I left high school. I worked for a few years and then decided to join the Navy which sent me overseas because of the Vietnam War. When I returned a lot of the friends I knew were no longer at the hangouts we use to hang around. In 1977 I had a job with a company and traveled around the US installing computer systems. or a while and during this time period, I got married and had four children. I ended up leaving American Airlines and went to work for another company in the aviation business. I worked for them for about 20 years traveling around the world installing airport systems and during this time period, I obtained my MBA. I recently left them and decided it was time to enjoy the island life so I moved to Hawaii. I still visit the Bridgeport area to see family.
